Taverner Research Group dates back to 1964 when the founder, Philip Mitchell-Taverner, started his career in market research.

In 1995 the name Taverner Research first entered the Australian marketplace and today the Taverner Research Group name continues to be a leading provider of robust research solutions to government, commercial and academic organisations, enabling them to make evidence-based decisions with confidence.

1964

The origins of the Taverner Research Group date back to 1964, when the organization’s founder, Philip Mitchell-Taverner, started his career in the fledgling market research division of the Ford Motor Company. After a three-year stint in London with the research division of ad agency Leo Burnett, Philip joined P-E Consulting Group in Melbourne. Here he was responsible for expanding and managing that consultancy’s market and social research operation.
